Nick Baki's Bio

Nick Baki

Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Nick is the youngest member added to the club since 1992. Nick is a graduate of Coronado High School and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He shares his life with his wife, Danielle, and two beautiful children, Lauren and Caleb. He is a carpenter and skilled tradesman, and is currently locally employed.

As a product of the area, he has enjoyed the outdoors from a very young age, including mountain biking and running the trails of our foothills and mountains. He started climbing mountains with his father at the age of 8. Nick began technical climbing at around the age of 12, beginning with traditional rock routes in Eleven Mile Canyon and Garden of the Gods. In middle school and high school, his father organized and built two indoor climbing walls in the schools in which he taught, and young Nick assisted with route setting and climbing instruction.

By age 20, he followed the footsteps of his father and set a goal to climb the one-hundred highest mountains in Colorado. He has currently completed 94 peaks, and has also climbed several of the two-hundred highest mountains. In addition to Colorado peaks, he has climbed Mount Whitney in California. Mountaineering has become an intrinsic part of his life, and he is proud for that part of his life to be manifested in perpetuity through his selection as a member of the AdAmAn club. He is grateful to be part of the continuing tradition of the club and the climb, and looks forward to many successful years and ascents on Pikes Peak with the club.
